After reading an article on wikipedia that was quite fun,
I think the Babylonians pioneered telling time by the sun.

What might it be that you can put upon your feet,
that you may sleep upon during night or day,
and that you could use for a seat.
What could it be? Do you dare say?

A[emoji755]️
Riddle has not been answered
I think, yes I have had to many beers to drink
PleAse somebody, it's not sick or the floor
To this answer their is more
?????

@Dan , maybe the answer(s) I need to give away,
but it is a rather silly one I must say.
A pair of shoes are good to put on your feet,
and a bed is where I normally lay,
finally a chair makes a good seat.

Sorry for this :)

A multiple riddle
It does now seem simple
Time for you to give another one
Really hard or simply fun

Tell me this
Is amiss
Go tell it on the mountain
Everyday that goes by; water comes out a fountain
Really a nice day today, I had a good role in yeh hey!
(Riddle me this and riddle me that, from above - name my cat)

Take me into a lions den
Inside of it my life may end
Go with God and have no fear
Each soul to him is very dear
Right down to and beneath your nose
(The hinting to my riddle grows)

Take another look
I fooled you by pseudo distraction
Get'er done need be your only reaction
Everything is all false and true
Ready set go lets drink a few

The day the carpet baggers came
I had broken my leg and lost my cane
Go get another my wife yelled at me
Even though I was on bended knees
Really? I yelled with fury; jee weezs

Truly I've given you what you need
Information without no greed
Go with nothing I have said
Except my first words in each line read
Really? Really!!
(It's true and silly)

So riddle me this and riddle me that

From the above - name my cat

PS
lines with parenthesis don't count for much
Just some added notes and such

I thought and thought on the clues you wrought, but my answers were all in vain
I'm dense, 'tis true, and those clues from you, caused in my head a pain
Till that last line, I had quite a time, playing this guessing game
Now I confess, my only guess is that TIGER is your kitty's name.
Regards, GF.

[

I'm old & red, big & fancy,
Yet plain everyday.
I hide in plain site,
Yet no one can see me.
What am I?

Twas not tricky
But was fun
The answer is
Our friend, the Sun

Think more physical...

Unionrdr your riddle is outta sight
Trying to figure the answer keeps me up late tonight
I really thought Fedora had answered it with "Sun"
The riddle you wrote is a tough one

GF, I truly hope your brain's feeling better
I would not want to turn you into a bed wetter

Your answer is correct; that was very well done!
Thank you sir for putting up with my silly simple fun

Seems unionrdr is holding out
For an answer to his rhyme
It's not sun or my thought stout
I really thought Fedora had figured it out

So the answer is still awaiting
For Somebody to answer true
If that sounds like I'm baiting
It's meant for me and you

It's commonly seen,
yet paid no mind.
It's not organic,
yet comes from the earth,
by sweat & hard work.
They get old & need attention,
in later years,
it's usefulness in suspension...

I'll bring you shade when there is none around, far overhead's where I'm usually found.
In autumn along the ground I do creep, many a bush & tree do I steep.
In the form of a ship, on your picnic I'll drip, from the park I can make you run; in the grass you lay, on a bright sunny day, watching me can be fun.
I can look like this, I can look like that, you may even think I look like your hat.
You may never notice but I'm there nonetheless, as you go 'bout your business, now can you guess?

Clouds...

Your guess is correct, I should be less direct, my clues were far too telling.
At riddles I suck, but with some luck, my riddles will soon be gelling.
It's your turn good Sir, and the rest will concur, good riddles soon you'll be telling.
Regards, GF. :)

I'm horny & shy,
But I'm not in the sky.
I like open areas,
otherwise I hide.
I like to travel in groups,
But will go it alone,
What am I?

Only one answer comes to my mind
A Taurus the bull in my simple find

Either that or possibly a rhinoceros
Both answers though most likely preposterous

You my friend have my poor brain growing
Trying to figure out the riddles you're sowing

I'll wait right here for the really true answer
I shouldn't rhyme this line using my dog's name, Prancer

(but did ) :)

You're getting warm,
But the seeds sown are not your own.
I'm horney like any male,
but only a general address...
The females I chase don't wear a dress.

It is indeed,
during the rut I'm in need!
I use the does to see I come to no harm,
But I'm too hard on the cars passing through my yard.:mug:

I'm curvy and nice, and I can add spice, but I'm usually soft & soothing.
I have lots of pluck, and with some luck, I'll soon have you weeping or grooving.
I hang out with gypsies and cowboys too, I hang out with the elite, and I'll hang out with you.
My hair once ran fast, though that is long past, as it's white & no longer growing; and though I don't write,
I can sing quite alright & my notes will soon be flowing.
Now can you see? What can I be, I hope your brain is knowing.
:)

Would that be a violin or fiddle?

Hey diddle diddle, you guessed my riddle, you got it right on the nose!
It's your turn now, some would say "and how!" for to us, your riddle to pose.
Regards, GF. :mug:

Though I should not be in this situation, I find myself without rhyme.

In time, I shall find my balance, be it in meter, or inch, or iambic pentameter.

So, the question I pose to the group is as follows:

I am faster than can be driven, and can never be riven. The mind of one conceived of me and more, while determining the path of a war. Who am I.

I'm going to take a go at this
Will probably be a big miss
But what the heck I'll give a go
Energy, mass, e=mc2 my bro?

[emoji3]. I got no clue but that came to mind
In muddled riddle fun I lose my mind

A guitar is my guess,
curvy, but make life better once plucked from my nest.

Ah. forgot about that one. Being country, & my uncle playin' & hand-carved copy of a Stradivarius he had, you'd think I'd have guessed that...

Being stuck in a box of blackness all day
make responding to posts something that I can not say.

The white haired genius you did note, came up with the theory you wrote.

The answer has saved the day, and now what riddle will you say?

Being stuck in a box of blackness all day

Maybe you sir are in black ops
Or mate just covered in bruised hops [emoji3]

A riddle you say I'm next to ask
That is the game and is the winner's task
I'm sorry my friend I don't have an original tonight
Just one that was posted on the first riddle night

I'll ask it again, once again to all tonight
This is a good riddle, it makes brains out a sight

I have nine melons that I speak of
I wonder which one is the heaviest, Gov

I apologize my riddle left out a an important fact
One melon is heavier the other eight weigh less but each the same exact

I have a scale similar to balance and justice
There are probably not a whole lot of them among us

A known amount of weight on one side balances out the other
Do you get a picture of the scale now my brother

But this scale is nearly broke
Good for only two tries my bloke

Yes Ordof it's like see-saw
Now tell me how to find the heavy ball

I did it in two and so can you
Tell me how' tween me and you

Also, since this should be an easy one with the clues I've given
Please answer in a riddle rhyme rhythm [emoji3]
