I just had a question concerning empty draft lines in my kegerator. If left empty, will these lines begin to pick up odors that you would normally get in refrigerators and freezers with when leaving rubber products inside? Obviously, the best solution is to fill them up with more beer, but I'm waiting on a few beers to finish up first.

I fill my empty kegs and lines with water while they are waiting to be filled with beer. It helps the keezer keep cold too with the extra thermal mass so it doesn't have to work as hard

I flush with line cleaner (I use BLC), flush with water, and then leave the line full of water. Before tapping, I flush with an acid rinse if its been more than a week since the BLC. Tap, toss out the first glass of beer, enjoy!
