I'm game if you are! I've got a killer London Pride clone.

B

Mine turned out quite good. It's been a while since I've had London Pride, so I can't compare directly, but it's good though! Maybe I'll stop by Abe's on the way home today...

I just have to say that looks fantastic, truly a project you should be proud of.

And since your a die hard British guy, God save the Queen.

Thanks for sharing it, and I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

Bumping my thread with some better photos and updated shots :
add Leather sofa, flat screen TV on a rotating swivel arm, laptop on swivel arm, and round out with my 1979 Pioneer SX 980

how many square feet do you say that whole area is?

It's a most common shed ,22' x 14' or just about 300 square feet , the beauty of it all, is that from the outside , you would never know what's going on in there. Since I purchased the property back in July 08, I started on the inside first, winter came fast here in PA , and it's been cold since November. I can hardly wait to start some needed improvements to the outside of it, although it's a very solid structure.

Here is a small picture of what it looked like early on. This is my kilt wearing buddy explaining that a "stripper pole " would be a critical design element to the success of the layout. Of course my wife didn't see it the same way :

Then I added the French doors and dormer/porch:

I noticed you have tile in there. What kind of foundation does it have? Pier & beam? It does not look like there was a cement pad poured.

Thats right no poured foundation-which keeps local permits to a minimum-off grade, I added 1/2 plywood to the already 3/8" floor, then used 5/16th" cement board, then tile, it is noteworthy that the tile is 1/2 thick commercial stuff, with all that, the floor is solid as Sears , almost no flex whatsoever.

Interesting. I have 5/8ths treated plywood, 1/2 hard insulation, then 5/8ths OSB sub flooring. I'm betting I could tile the brew area as well. Sweet!

Which is better, because it's about 8 miles from home, I plan on keeping it somewhat conspicuous.
Seeing as you are keeping this conspicuous, and not inconspicuous as I would have thought, can I get turn by turn directions from Oxford area? :D

No you can not have turn by turn directions, this place is a secret, PM me and I will mislead you to brewing nirvana .

Just discovered this glorious thread... bowen, that place truly is awesome. The pictures, although I'm sure do not give complete justice, really show how much thought was put into everything, down to the layout and everything else.

I'm a huge anglophile as well so I gotta applaud having the union jack represented there....

Also, the strat is definitely the icing on the cake.

Thanks for sharing. Very nice set up. I'll have to schedule a tour next time we are down your way which may be in April or May. Can Hosfeld and I access it via mountain bike?

Leaving the brewery, there are miles and miles of mountain biking trails , I have a map of those trails hanging in the brewery, matt will know this place well .

The Hammersmith Ales brewery is located south of Bethlehem, near the Lehigh University athletic fields.

I'll leave it to Mr Bowen to reveal more than that. :D

got a technical question for you - I have a 400 sq ft studio on my property that does not have a designation - yet. It would make a perfect small brewery. I notice you use propane and have an exhaust hood. How many CFM is that hood and do you have a CO monitor ? Or are you using natural gas?

The fan is 225 Cfm, with make up air , yes I use a nighthawk C02 detector as well, and for now I am using 20lb LP gas tanks from the inside, I will eventally have a LP gas service deliver to a 150 pound tank outside.with a thru the wall connection. 400 squares is more than plenty of room to brew in .

Great pub mate. Is that a picture of Her Maj over the bar? Nice touch. The brewery is just insane. One of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Any completed picture of the exterior? I love it!!!

Amazing! There is nothing better than a proper English pub. Well done, sir! Are those actual hand-pulls you've got there? If so, how are you working them? Cask-breathers?

No hand pulls yet , but I am working on that situation rapidly , and they will have cask breathers , as to get a proper pint. Thanks for the compliments !
