Hey everyone! This is my first post on this forum. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to making mead. Mid March I made my first blueberry melomel. When I racked it into my carboy and onto the blueberries i had zero headroom. When I racked it off the blueberries I was left with a decent amount of headroom(see picture below). It has now been in the carboy with this headroom for about a month and a half (melomel is about 2 and half months old now).

So my question is...is the month and a half with this head room going to ruin my melomel? If so...well that sucks...if not...how soon should I bottle it and/or purchase a smaller carboy?

Thanks for your input.

you could add some sterilized marbles to it - someone else might help answer your question better!
