So I have a nicely vacuum sealed pack of 7 Madigascar vanilla beans and will be using 2 of them in an upcoming secondary. Question: since I have a food saver, I will be able to vacuum seal the remainder, however, best to freeze or refrigerate the remainder? Or neither?

I store mine at room temp vacuum packed in my pantry. I definitely wouldn't freeze, them and I don't think they would benefit from being in the refrigerator.

Sounds good! Thank you, my Texan friend!!

It appears as though we have similar tastes. This will be for Denny Conn's bourbon vanilla porter. I have an oatmeal stout bottled and my next ale (after a jalapeño creme ale) will be lil sparkey's nut brown. Cheers! :mug:

Your welcome. Yep, they are all good brews. Vanilla beans are awesome to keep around, not only have I used them in my beer, but also in pastry cream and soon cream soda.
