I would go with Briess for LME and either one for DME, at least on this side of the pond. I believe Muntons is a product on England so the LME would not be as fresh once it gets here. Of course it is canned so maybe it is preserved better. Honestly I am not sure it really matters.

All that said, I prefer Briess though I have no real reason to do so.

I've used both many times and prefer whichever is less expensive. This is usually Briess, due to geography I suppose. If I were in the UK, I would use Muntons (or a generic version) as it would probably be cheaper.

I use Briess. No problems. Price is good too; I get it from my LHBS in 33 lb plastic containers for $60.

DAMN!!! I would love to get dme in quantities like that for a price like that :(. at mine (2 in town) I can buy them at $4 a lb or $5 a lb or 33 lb bulk at the price of $100 per bucket.

Just used a can of Munton's amber LME for the first time today in a brown ale recipe along with Briess Golden Light DME (which I've used in a couple previous batches already). Excited to see how this turns out.
