I just got my two Perlick faucets in and I want to replace the old ones.

I don't want to break or scratch anything, but I tried simply unscrewing the old faucets and they don't seem to want to give. There are some small hole on top of the ring covering the threaded part of the old faucets. Does this ring need to be loosened somehow?

Any advice on how to do this or any tools needed?

you will want a faucet wrench to use to turn the collar using the holes.

it will look similar to this:

also, when you put the new faucets in, you will want to make sure it mates properly. you'll realize what i'm talking about when you do it, just make sure the faucet sits in right.
