Leave for a couple months, can I leave in secondary?

I'm going away on business for 2 months. I was wondering if I would be hurting my beer by leaving it in the secondary carboy for that long. I'd get it in there the day before and it wouldn't be touched for 2 whole months. I know there might be an issue with diacetyls, but I thought that was only with leaving it in the primary for too long. Could I do a strong IPA that could use the mellowing time??

I always have a tough time letting my beer mellow out before I keg it. Sometimes I've even gone primary straight to keg after only one week! I'm looking at this as an opportunity to make some beer with alot of character and be able to reach its potential before I finish it off.

What do you think? Any experience??

I'd say keg it. Then when you get back, dry hop it for a week, carbonate & consume.

We leave our beer in the secondary 2+ months all the time. Bulk aging is the norm for us and we've been doing it for years.
