Bluegrass bands, 30 breweries, crisp mountain air, foliage. Looks like a good opportunity to get the NC, VA, SC, TN, GA, KY, AL folks together. We're going to get a campsite and make a long week-end of it. Any takers?

You're killing me! The only thing is that this year it won't be at the Asheville Tourists ballpark which was a fantastic venue. In terms of camping, I can recommend Lake Powhatan in the Bent Creek Experimental Forest:

It's only about 10 minutes from downtown Asheville and any likely venue for the Brewgrass Festival.

Thanks for the info, Baron. I'm sorry you won't be able to attend this year, but due to your recommendation I don't want to miss this one. I could sit and listen to Bluegrass til the cows come home. Jeff
