Kinda new to ciders, typically make my beers thick and dark, but I have had requests to make some straight pear cider. I know there's a company that manufactures it across the pond, but I'm just looking for some tips and tricks to start off. This will be my first cider but I really don't want any apple.

cider recipe:
get apples, obtain juice from apples, add yeast to juice, wait, rack, wait, bottle.
perry recipe: as above, but use pears. but if you use sweet eating pears the perry will likely come out very bland since they lack acids. you might consider adding malic acid or an acid blend for wines. i would try a small batch first.
