Great day! We officially have a well truck at the farm ready to drill our dedicated well for the hops! ! No more hauling water 1000 gallons at a time!

Did our calculation for harvest moisture and looks like we're about a week out! Should be fun and this will be our first shot at a wolf harvester! ! I'll keep folks updated or catch us on facebook

Take a sample. Dry it til it no longer looses weight. Compare to original weight. That gives you your% of moisture in the hop to start. We will harvest at approx 78% harvest moisture

And we got water finally! ! If you were following on Facebook. It took 4 days of drilling. And at roughly 600' we hit water. Total depth of well is 700'!!!

So we harvested our Cascade rows yesterday and it went pretty good I think! And today we week be able to package some up and get it sent out for analysis so folks that buy our hops know what their getting! Few pictures below show from beginning of the day. Loading the full bines into the wolf and just one of the many bins we ended up with that went into the oast!

Our newest little toy is ready for stringing. At roughly 11' wide and roughly 11' to the standing platform, our New stringing tower will ease life on stringing days. The button totes have roughly 150 gal off water in them to act as a ballast. And being able to string 4 cables at a time will speed up even the slow crews!

How are those attached to each other? Wear a helmet lol!

You just set them on top of each other and they are good to go! J/k. The bottom is bolted together via u-bolts, then the top basket has plenty of strut making that a single unit, no problems lifting the entire thing from one end and no bending etc. Then it's all bolted down with cable as added ins. from the top basket on 4 points down to the trailer as well. You can have multi people on one side with no issues!
