I finally got my new brew kettle put together and tested out.

I got tired of waiting for a friend to weld the fittings so I make a weldless and it held nicely.
I boiled 7 gal of water for 60 minutes.
I use an old 65,000 burner I had for quite a long time I use it for my AG with my 7gal ss pot.
Started with 60 deg. Water and had a nice boil in 23 minutes.
Boiled for 60 minutes
Had to reshape my worth cooler to fit in the 11 ½ opening (cooler is self made @ 35 feet of 3/8 copper) had 80 deg water in @ 17 minutes.
I measured and only got 4 ¾ gal of water back, I leave @ 1 pint in the kettle that my tube doesnt pick up.
Is this normal for this type of kettle to boil off 2 gallons in 1 hour?
I keep it at a medium boil .
