I just taste tested a couple of bottles of the Brewers Best kit American Amber Ale. It has only been bottled 2 weeks and it tasted good but a little flat. I used 5o/z of priming sugar. Is this normal? How many weeks before proper carbonation? Christmas party next week. Is that too much to ask? Was thinking of using the carb pills on my next batch. Do they work better? Hey at least there were no off flavors. Thanks for all of your help.
 
What temperature are they at? At 70F & two weeks, they should be carbed.

Carb tabs are just corn sugar lumps.
