High,
For those of you that are worried about burning the insulation of your kettle when using propane burners, here`s a trick that I use.
Go to your next welding supply store and get a welding blanket, cut it to size and wrap it around the kettle.
These blankets definitely do not burn and their insulating qualities are quite good.
I keep the insulation in place using 2 old leather belts bought at a thrift shop.
I`ve been using this setup for years now, with no probs whatsoever.
For cleanup, the blankets are thus easily removed and I have successfuly washed them numerous times on cold cycle in a front loading washing machine.
