Im building a keezer and i am looking for a 4" Stainless Steel shank and a Perlick 575SS faucet. What is the cheapest place i will find these?

I am a college student so i am trying to save money

:mug:

Birdman has decent prices. Also check out Adventures in Homebrewing and Farm House Brewing Supply. Don't forget to factor in shipping when you shop because that will often be the difference in terms of price...

From the looks of it i should be spending around $60 for the 575SS faucet and stainless shank.. does this seem correct to y'all?

the beer tap store for shanks, and adventures in homebrewing for faucet, should be closer to 50 with shipping.

Check out Keg Connection too. One thing to keep in mind, some shanks have welded on tail peices. I personally like the ones from Keg Connection because I can take the tail piece off when I really want to clean everything good (i.e. after having a sour on tap). Not sure functionality wise it really makes a difference, but makes me feel better about it.

Anyone want to answer the same question in Feb 2017? Taking my basic 1 keg picnic tap LHBS setup to a 3 tap Keezer. Right now looking at kegconnection, since they have great sale on pin locks with connectors, and I've read good things.

Other option is AIH for intertaps or perlcik SS. i want to go SS for longevity as we might keg the SWMBO's kombucha.

I've bought most of my gear from Birdman Brewing and have been very pleased. https://www.birdmanbrewing.com/

Thanks all. Picked up kegs, but need to "get taxes won" before SWMBO will approve more beer purchases, as I just triggered the 3 pin lock keg order. Gives me a month to view more keezer porn here on HBT and get the collar figured out!

homebrewing.org had 14% off intertap
the rest of the hardware I got at birdmanbrewing

I will a blog post going soon on this! There was a lot of information I needed when starting from scratch..

Depends on whether you want Perlicks (630SS) or InterTaps. I have both in Stainless and both work really good. I have noticed that when I use the Perlick and I am done I still have 3 or 4 drops come out. With the InterTaps the moment you stop the pour it is completely shut off with maybe 1 drip. I do like the fact that the Intertaps have interchangeable tips, but then you need to store the extra tips somewhere. I just keep mine in the keezer. The perlicks are angled out a little farther making it easier to fill growlers on the go.

I would check into Farm House Brewing for Perlicks and shanks and Williams Brewing for InterTaps.

Thanks all. I ended up doing kegs from kegconnection, hardware from birdman. Both very positive experiences, delivered within 3 days of shipping. And I still have the basic parts from my LHBS. (Regulator, picnic tap). Everyone wins. Finishing it up now, and will post final pics on my build thread, though nothing fancy with mine. Already have the kombucha tap going!
