I bought a kit from Northern Home brew supply.
It is the spiced winter ale kit.
It says to add the East Kent golding hops at 60 minutes,which I understand to be at the beginning of the boil. Are these hops ever removed or do they dissolve or settle out in the primary?
Or do i scoop them off at the end of the boil? Thank you in advance,and I look forward to learning to homebrew!!
Here is inventory list for malt extract kit:

Kit Inventory

Specialty Grains

* 1 lbs. Simpsons Dark Crystal

Fermentables

* 6.3 lbs. Gold Malt Syrup

Boil Additions

* 1 oz. East Kent Goldings (60 min)
* 0.5 oz. Mulling Spices (0 min)

If you choose dry yeast

* Safale S-04. Optimum temperature: 64-75° F.

If you choose liquid yeast

* Wyeast #1728 Scottish Ale Yeast. Optimum temperature: 55-70° F.

If you are using pellet hops, they are kinda hard to strain out IMO. Whole leaf hops are easier to strain out. I whirlpool after the boil and cooling is complete, so a lot of the trub stays behind when I transfer to the primary.

If any or all of the hops make it into the fermenter, don't worry, no harm done. They'll settle out.
