I've been using Iodophor to sanitize, but I'm tired of it staining all my plastic equipment. I've heard a lot of good things about Star San, but saw on a few websites to keep contact with plastic to a minimum. Is it ok to use with my plastic stuff?

Thanks!

The only thing that happens with StarSan on plastic is that some of the detergent gets deposited on the plastic surface, which tends to make it cloudy and somewhat slick to the touch. It's still perfectly safe and all, it's just that cloudy plastic tubing is a minor annoyance.

Ok, awesome. Thanks for the replies. I figure with only a couple minutes contact time I won't need to worry about prolonged soaking.

Is it going to make my better bottles cloudy?

I believe that better bottles are OK. It is nylon that you might not want to soak. I have noticed that SOME plastics get brittle if you do.
