Ok folks. I have an old dryer plug that I need to be able to plug an arc welder into so I can finish my brew stand, and later I'd like to make it so I have enough 240 there to run both my HLT and BK off of at the same time. Please help.

First off, here are a few pics. The top one is the wall plug that is existing. The second is the arc welder. What do I need to make the welder plug in? I have the old male end off of the dryer.

My neighbor who is an electrician says to use dryer plugs on the welder.
You are more likely to find that type in a garage if you need to do some portable welding.

Make sure your wire and amps are rated for your welder. I had the same idea and my electrician had me upgrade my wire from 10g to 8g for a full 50 amp circuit back to my main panel.
