I just got a new bung and airlock for my carboy and just as I'm about to pitch the yeast, i noticed that it won't stay on the carboy. It's the right size, same as my other ones. I push it down and it pops out, like it's too slippery. I'm guessing its because it's brand new as opposed to the used ones i bought originally.

Does anybody have a trick to make it stay?

Awesome, it worked.

Thanks for the quick reply. I feel kind of stupid because i should have realised that.

I can't stand those rubber stoppers. They won't stay put when wet, and I'm always afraid the rubber particles that seem to constantly shed off 'em will fall into my beer. Carboy caps are vastly superior IMO. :)

I use these bad boys on my glass carboys. Impossible to push into the carboy and grip the mouth well.
