Quick one....

I brewed a strong ale about a month ago, 5 gallon batch that I will rack to a keg this weekend. The beer is sitting on the cake in the primary since I don't secondary this recipe.

I am also looking to brew up 10 gallons of my Shakespeare Stout clone this weekend - 10 gallons versus 5. Do you think I can I take the cake from the 5 gallon strong ale and split in half to ferment 10 gallons of stout (split evenly in two 6.5 gallon carboys)? The stong ale had a OG of 1.066, roughly the same as my stout.

Yeast was 1056, same as I use in my stout recipe.

Thanks!:rockin:
