PVC Diameter for Tower?

I'm planning a dual tap, horizontal tap tower for my portable kegerator.

What diameter PVC will work? I guess I need it wide enough I can fit my hand into it.

3 inch diameter is what this guy used. Is this what you're looking for?

If not, you could still cut out a portion of the back and put hinges on it, rather than having to stick your hand in the tube as you mentioned.

Yeah, that is kind of what I am planning, only using elbows instead of angle cuts to put it together. It will be scaled down a bit, it will fit on my 70qt cube cooler and only be 2 tap. I hadn't thought about putting in a hinged door, that is pretty neat.

The cooler will hold two 3 gallon kegs, for about 60 beers. I want to make this tower so I can easily move it to a bigger, trash can based kegerator, that will hold two 5 gallon kegs to server 100 beers to thirstier crowds when needed.

That sounds like a fun idea. I always figured when bringing it to a friends I'd just use a cobra tap and put it on ice in a cooler or trash can. The tap thing would be much more impressive and cool.
