well i brewed my irish red today... at one point it started to boil over and i tried to grab the pot, but the pot was so hot that i almost dropped it! anyways some wort spilled on my hand and burned it pretty good. a few blisters but nothing major.

the brew turned out very well though hitting a mark of 1.050 which is a tad high from the recipe but i think its ok cause its an irish red. i got a nice brownish red color too which i was excited about. rookie mistakes...im learnin though :)
 
Ouch. Well at least it wasn’t a bad burn. It could have been a LOT worse. Hope the beer turns out good at least.
On the bright side you have the makings of a good name right there. Burnt and Blistered Irish Red, or something.
 
Get yourself a spray bottle or even just a glass of water. When it starts to boil over, just add water.
