Malty Beers

I'm new to brewing and any beer other than the American big brewery standards.
Well i had sampled a American brown ale and loved the malty beer so what other styles are heavy on the malt?

If you can lager, munich helles and dunkel are really nice. I loves me some nice British Mild ale as well. Orfy's Mild Mannered Ale is a great place to start if you like brown ales.

My first thoughts would be

Mild for a low ABV
Scotch ale for a high ABV

A good Scotch ale, and you are almost chewing malt.

My Dead Guy clone is very malty. Too much malt for me, as a matter of fact. But then, I'm a hophead.

English strong ales/old ales are heavy on the malt (and the abv) too. One of my favorite styles.

I'm heading to the store later and hoping they have Sam Adams Double Bock

Irish Stout, Scotch Ale, Porter. In order of my personal preference.

Cheers to a fellow malt man! Those hop heads are getting all the attention these days.

I also like maltier beers. I made the mistake of making an Irish Red Ale as my first brew. All I can say is I have a lot leftover.

There is a graph that gets posted fairly often that shows IBU vs OG - and has different regions for Hoppy or Malty flavored. I made myself a list of some of common recipes kits based on their Hoppyness or Maltyness. I know this is a sweeping generalization, but it helped me prioritize which beers I wanted to make.
