yeah, an Alyssa Millano brew would have been a better pick. I'd have some of that served up under any condition. warm, cold, flat, skunked, dont matter to me just to be able to taste it. mmmm.........:D

I can't stand Kid Rock...I didn't mind him back in 1999 or so, but he is lame now. That song "All Summer Long" makes me want to drive my fist through the radio. What a hack. I hope his beer fails miserably, as I am sure it will. Who gives an F about him? I'd drink swill from a drip tray on any of your homebrews before having his beer.

Yer a little late buddy :D

At least it will be brewed in Michigan, though I predict it will last as long as;

And since it will probably be a light lager Budlight type clone....about as tasty.

I have a full six-pack of Billy that's been sitting in my Mom's house for over 25 years, my aunt bought it for my Dad as a "collector's" item. I'm pretty sure it's worth about the same as it was when it was canned. I remember trying it in the 70's and one was enough. I'm not ever going to open it to find out if it tastes the same.

Uhhh.... how could an Alyssa Milano brew be flat?????:D ;)

Ebay shows one auction for 40 bucks a six..though having a buyer is another matter. :D

lol... I've heard of it but didn't think it was real. I need to find some of that since it is my namesake.

not kid rock, but the Billy beer

The band Sublime had a malt beverage at one point. Not sure if it's still around, but I remember drinking some back in high school. Not too bad, for a fruity malt pseudobeer. If I could find 40oz swing-cap or pry off bottles, I'd like to do a tribute beer. I loves me some Sublime. :fro:

Well, if it pumps some dollars to a Michigan company, that's certainly a good thing right now.

Maybe he will call it Bad Ass IPA.

I wasn't going to put this forward, but I have heard that Bad Ass Brewery is being considered.

Cool. I hope it tastes good.

At least he is not building a chain of fried chicken outlets.

That's some funny chit right there. :D

Look, at least it IS an all-grain pilsener, with out the adjuncts and crap of a macro. It is a decent beer for the type, and if price is held on this offering, will sell. With no liabilities such as legacy costs, or production costs, and being it is contract brewed, it could be very competitive and drinkable, while being profitable. And don't under estimate the marketing strength, of a pop name.

Another way for MBC to gain audience, and not even advertise.;)

I may not agree with this whole idea. But on the bright side it's creating almost 400 jobs in the area!

Think of all the tramp stamps, Orange County Choppers hats, shirts and decals, tongue studs, and all the other fadish marketed crap out there.

People will try it, it will be a drinkable beer, and it may actually have a decent sales. It depends on price.

I was at MBC the other day and they have a light american lager on tap that is labeled R&D

I suppose it could be a test tap to judge reaction to the beer before packaging and distributing.

For me if I want a lightly flavored easy to drink beer, I never buy a craft beer pilsner or helles, I just go for the case of blue light. If I'm going to spend $9 on a six pack, I go for as much flavor as possible. IPA or Bock or something like that.
