I have a small burner on a turkey fryer and was looking to upgrade to Banjo BG-14; anyone thoughts on this burner? Also, what regulator should I purchase for it?

Are you just going to get the burner or the burner and stand?

Just the burner, I have a stand that I think will work.

I did my first all grain a couple of weeks ago and the burner I have took forever, it was so slow, I used my weed burner to assist. I want to do another batch, but, not until I address this issue.

Ok, they do sell it with a stand that has the regulator.

For the High Pressure burner, I used this regulator:

and this hose:

They work. I probably use about 30% of their power or it's just total overkill. They do like to drink propane but it is much better than those turkey fryers. Much cleaner and quiet.

Thanks a bundle! I'm going to order.
I would rather spend a little extra on propane than stand around waiting.

Yeah I was wondering how a vaporizer did you any good but everyone has their own way.

I just installed a Banjo BG-14 into my brewery last weekend, so I can tell you my thoughts. My brewery was originally built with these: http://morebeer.com/view_product/17245/102341/Propane_Burner_-_55000_btu

My boil kettle burner was so corroded I decided to get the BG-14 to replace it.

First thing - it is super quiet! My old burners are very loud, so this was so nice. I'd forget I was even boiling.

Second - they really kick out the heat! They aren't a high-pressure burner, so it's a little deceptive, but I think it brought my wort to boil much more quickly than my old one.

Third, they definitely take some tweaking of the intake to get a proper fuel/air mixture. Once you get it dialed in it works great!

I just ordered a second one for my hot liquor tank. Really looking forward to never hearing the stupid jet burners again - that alone makes them worth their weight in gold!
