My ciders are all dry and on the tart side. I enjoy them, but sometimes I wish they were just a tad sweet to cut some of the tartness. So, I had this brilliant idea tonight. I added about an ounce (total guestimate) of passionfruit liqueur to a glass and poured a bottle of cider on top. Absolutely delicious! Not too sweet, but just enough. Still tart, but not too much. And the passionfruit and apple really complement each other.
I bet this trick would work with pretty much any fruit liqueur and maybe some spiced ones too. After Shock cider, perhaps? Why yes, I am drinking tonight...
