Brewing a RIS tomorrow and looking to get some legs from the grains after the initial batch is going. I didn't bump the grain bill up, because it's already at 22lb and it's going to bump up against our mashing capacities.

Planning to sparge until we either run out of room or it drops below 1.010 and boil the wort down to about a 1.035 beer. How would you hop a small beer from this grain bill? I have citra, cascade, magnum and Mt. Hood hops on hand.

Brewing Jamil's RIS as seen here:

haven't done a partygile brew yet, but have been researching and planning several to do soon.

If it were me, i'd use cascades. You could probably end up with a brown ale or porter-ish 2nd beer. And you can always add some specialty grains, or even base malt back into your "2nd mash" to up your gravity or change the character.

Guess I am too late. My vote would have been an ounce of cascade at 10, ounce of Mt. Hood at 0, magnum to a BU/GU of 2/3 and then when you see what you get call it either a robust porter or an american brown.
