In the Clone Brews book, the New Castle Nut Brown ale, added 2 packed cups of brown sugar. Left for 1.5 months.

What a nice nice flavor brown sugar adds.

I occasionally add 1/2 - 3/4 lb brown sugar to a batch of ESB. It does produce a nice smooth flavor if it isn't overdone.

Only problem is, I can't decide if I prefer it with the sugar or the extra malt. They both taste good, but different

I've been using muscovat sugar in some ESB's and it is nice. Have to try it in a nut brown. Sounds really good.

I made it with 1 cup of brown sugar and tasted good, so this batch has 2 cups. I love it but will not go more then 2 cups....I think it will be over done.

2 cups packed real tight taste just right to me.
