boddys - (Boddington's recipe request)

does anybody out there have a recipe for boddingtons? thanks noj

I love this beer, but every recipe Ive found calls for cane sugar. And needless to say Im not too thrilled about using that.

Ill be checking back in on this thread for others' responses

I haven't brewed it, but Orfy's recipe in the recipe db gets great reviews.

what about adding honey? i saw a recipe somewhere that called for \1-2 lbs of honey after the wort cools. noj

I don't know... I think honey always needs to be boiled.

For what purpose? I was under the impression that honey does not have to be boiled.

I know when making mead there is a 'no-boil' method.

Is it just me, or are the necroposts very much on the rise again?

I was looking up Boddington recipes... sorry for bringing back a dead thread...

It's all good. I don't know how much of a response you'll get after a 2.5 year lull in this thread, but it's worth it if you can dispel the whole boiling honey being necessary myth.
