Square Fermentation Vessels

After reading Brew Like a Monk and Wild Brews, I became interested in the idea of using square (open or closed) fermentation vessels. BLAM indicates that they may change the pressure on yeast and the amount of beer & yeast contact that taller-than-wide circular vessels.

Has anyone tried anything like these before?

The square fermenters referred to in Brew like a monk and Wild brews are quite large. I'm not sure you would get much of a difference in such a small batch. It doesn't hurt to try though.

what would be the benefit? I would think these would be harder to clean in the corners.

You're probably right about batch size, I think I may do a split batch and see if I can taste a difference.

Try an Aqua-Tainer from WalMart, they're cheap and work well.
