Question on Yeast Starters

I'm brewing two Extract Batches tomorrow, and I'm making the Starters tonight. I have two smack packs, but I was thinking, if I make a big starter (like for a high gravity ale) and split it in half, will that work, or should I just make two starters?

I hear ya, I was planning on it, but time constraints. I"m not brewing until tomorrow evening, so by the time I pitch the first brew it'll be 9, so there's 24 hours, plusit's a really fresh pack (6 Aug 07), so it should take lest than a day to get rollin'
