I've been brewing for about a year now. With great success, in part from this forum, friends, and Defalco's here in Houston.

That being said, I tried a cherry wheat brew (wifes request) by adding cherry puree into the secondary of a hefeweizen. Now it's bubbling like crazy and has a krausen on it like the primary did. It was done fermenting when I transfered it, but when I added the extra fuel (puree) I guess it started going again.

Is this normal for this type of beer?

Thanks,
Nick

Totally normal the fruit has fermentable sugars that will wake up the yeast and start a secondary fermentation
