My hydrometer is broke and i was wondering since i cant take specific gravity readings how long after the krausen has has subsided should i wait to rack to a secondary. and its a weisen bier by the way.

At least as long as it takes for you to go to your LHBS and buy a new one.

Barring that, you're just guessing. You can follow the 1-2-3 rule: 1 week in primary, 2 weeks in secondary, 3 weeks in bottles. Or, you could skip secondary altogether, and just leave it in primary for a month or so.

If you don't plan on dryhoping go with Llamas solution.

Cant go wrong with a month in the primary.
