I'm planning on doing a clone of Rogue Brutal Bitter (or at least something close).

I've seen a few all grain versions written up online. The hops are Newport (bittering) and Crystal (bittering/aroma). The grains according to a few AG recipes appear to be CaraVienne, Carapils, Wheat, and/or Marris Otter.

I'm looking at doing a 5 gallon batch with a 2.5 - 3 gallon boil and can hopefully land the hops for it. Going to check my local LHBS.

I'm thinking roughly around 7lbs of Light LME.

I don't have any PacMan so just figured I'd go with Wyeast 1056 or maybe American Ale II.

Anyone ever try this as an extract brew or have a good source? Any advise or recomendations? I didn't turn much up and ESB recipe's can vary quite a bit.
