Well, I think no hops, no yeast, and no barley have all been covered so.... the only thing we haven't considered being absent is water, so my next guess is...

a bowl of hops, dry yeast, and barley. YUMM!!!

Or even better... a bowl of hops, liquid yeast, and barley!

i'll just borrow this for my next clue: it's a german ale, so it conforms to the reinhienybutt (spelling?) law.

this beer has three distinct points that makes the style that it is:

the ingredient that's left out that, if used would make it another style,
the yeast,
and the temp.
 
Last big clue: the absent ingredient, the one that would make this beer into another style if present, is wheat. the style came about because of the demand for wheat as a food staple.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a commercial example at your local beer store. At least, I would be.
