I'm looking for a thermometer that I can put inside the kegerator and have a remote unit on the outside that shows the temperature inside the unit. Does anyone have anything like this; if so, suggestions?

I have three of these:
http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?products_id=12193

Each one hooked up to a separate chest freezer. The main function of this guy is to control the temperature. Plug this in, then plug your kegerator into this unit and you can control what temperature your kegerator is to the degree. It does display the temp as well. Only downside is that they are somewhat spendy but definitely worth it in the long run.

Boomer.... you just want to see the temp and not control it, right?

When you say "remote" do you mean "wireless"? (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000F5M06M/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20)

Or do you just want a thermometer with the temp sensor on a long wire? (http://www.google.com/products/cata...ONN4LWlQeetd20CA&sa=title&ved=0CCcQ8wIwCDgA#p)

It'd cost me over $100 to ship it. Apparently Texas has a thing about Alaska really being the biggest state and hold a grudge in shipping fees:mug::mug:

Just go with the $2 one on ebay.

Cord doesn't affect the fridge seal. Add some velcro on the back and stick it on the fridge. Discrete and cheap.

We have a winner!

Edit: I might buy a couple of these. I don't know what I'll use them for yet, but for $2?...

Problem solved. I went to Lowes for some other stuff last night and all they could suggest was one of the wireless weather stations.
