I just got about 300 stubbies from my grndparents for free. They look like thry're in good shape but the micro brewery they tried to give the bottles to wouldn't take them because they said they were weak from being used and they would explode. Does glass weaken with age?

they're all old "red label" beers from jamaica.Cleaned and a little dusty but otherwise like new. Im sure they'll be alright

I certainly hope not. I just picked up a crate of old bottles (Pabst Red, White, and Blue from the 80s, I believe.) for a couple of bucks at a garage sale. Though, to be fair, I was mostly interested in the box itself since they just don't make that style of solid, closable, cardboard bottle box anymore... The bottles themselves look fine and should work nicely after I clean the hell out of them.
