Hi all,
Can someone fill me in on what type of burner to boil outside or in my garage?
How many BTU's are needed? I have an electric stove with not a lot of headroom for a large brew pot, so I'm thinking this is the way to go (and cheaper).

any other tips would be appreciated

THX!

There are about a million threads on this. I use the SQ14 and I love it. I think it is 55K BTUs and I've been told they can get a 10 gallon batch going no problem.

We have been using an SQ14 and have used it for 10gal batchs in a keggle. Just used an SP10 for the first time the other day and it too brought 10gal to a boil no problem. Either way you're good.

Basic turkey frier setup for me. Cheap off amazon, came with a 30qt alum brewpot which I now use for heating water.
