my first try at winemaking: kit directions say to sanitize with metabisulfate solution.

I'm used to using StarSan...can I use it instead?

(I wasn't sure since there seems to be more "chemistry" involved in winemaking than beer brewing)
 
More chemistry? Neh. The fermentation science is very similar, and you don't have to worry with hitting all your mash temperatures to convert the starches to sugars and such. I just started into wine making and have been researching/reading/etc alot....this is easy!
