I just used BM's cheap counterpressure method and filled a few bottles from the keg (used the racking cane). It worked great.

I want to put a sixer away and I have little room to keep the beer cold so what will happen if I fill some bottles from my keg which is in a kegerator (currently at about 40 deg) and then store them at room temp for a few months?

I like not worrying about corn sugar and just using co2 to prime the beer but I'm worried about gushers or off-flavors developing if I bottle the beer cold then let it warm up to room temp.

Any thoughts?

as long as its not over 70, it'll be ok.
if you have a cooler room or a basement, maybe the back of a closet, that'll work well.

it warmer extremes, like a hot garage all summer long, that'll negatively affect the beer.
