I decided to get another fermenter and do another brew. 2 in one week.
This is an Irish Stout kit from Asheville Brewing Supply. A great store.
.75 Black Patent
.25 Roasted Barley
6 lb Dark LME
1 lb Dark DME
1 oz Cluster at 60
1 oz Kent Goldings at 10
Irish Ale yeast
Beer Smith says:
1.054 SG
1.015 FG
19.0 IBU
46.4 Color
ABV 5.12%
I've never used Goldings before so I'm excited about that. It also calls for a 70 minute boil. I was thinking about adding Kent Goldings with about 20 minutes instead of 10.
What do all of you think?
