I know there are a number of Calgary homebrewers on this site, so I thought I would post this announcement:

My SWMBO was sweet and bought me a ticket as a Valentine's day gift. Should be a fun night, especially if anyone from this community is going!

I'm going to try to make it. I might be outta town though. I know the beer manager there - I can't get out of there in less than a half-hour...

I went -- but didn't see your post Chairman until after I got home. There were a LOT of people there, and I didn't spot you.

I didn't expect that it would be drink all you want free-for-all! I am definitely going again next year. It was great to sample some new beers, particularly the ones that I wouldn't normally buy. For example, I think I might be a Unibroue convert!

I got called out to work today at 1:30PM!!! I missed it. :(

Dave, the beer guy there said he'd grab me a "best of Show" sixer. I hope he does.

Did they serve Unibrou 'U'? That's their pilsener, it's freaking fantastic!!!

No -- aw man, that sucks that you had to work. It was a great show. Far more breweries there than I had anticipated. They even had reps from the US (e.g., Rogue, Flying Dog).

I hung around the Unibroue table for a while, but I don't recall sampling their pilsner. I will have to try it now. Thanks for the recommendation!
