This is my first post, so please forgive me if I miss something....
I was curious how an extract lager would turn out if I used an ale yeast. I saw some recipes on nothernbrewer and they said it was possible to substitute the yeast if you couldn't ferment at the lower temperature....
Does anyone know how it would turn out??

Thanks

It would make beer.

lol, you would most likely still end up with a very nice ale. It would be something you could enjoy sooner to. Ale yeasts work fast. :mug:

My LHBS' recipe binders have a lot of lager recipes that give a substitution option for ale yeast. I'm not sure if there is an equivalent for all lagers or how different your results will be, though.
