Supplement Pitch with S-05

I have a 1 liter WLP 027 Edinburgh Ale stirplate starter that didn't produce as much activity and yeast as usual (even though vial didn't expire until August). I am brewing this evening and was thinking about pitching a portion of a pack of S-05 along with the Edinburgh starter to ensure a good pitch. Does anyone see anything wrong with this? I am not planning on re-using the yeast.

make more wort and add it to the starter, that will step it up some more.

Activity doesn't always show up in starters. I'd probably just pitch the 05 and save the starter for another brew when you have more time to build it up.

So what are the problems with pitching the starter and a 1/4 pack of S-05 ?
