Ice Bath Water Circulation

I know some of you are using this method to cool the wort rather than a chiller. How are you circulating the fluid to improve heat transfer?

Duck paddling.....is there any other way?

Down here in the ice cold region of NW Florida we crank our A/C down to about 73 degrees and sit it in our bath tub! I have a IIPA in the hall bath tub at about 70 degrees... the task master doesnt like it....my sons gonna be back in a week! you have to move that S@#t!...Just change your water out when it gets above 76 degrees and i think you will be ok! Unless you are brewing a Lager!!!....lol

What breed? Will a Mallard do, or should I upgrade to the Australian Spotted? This brew stuff is alot more complicated than I had originally thought...

The $$ you spend over several batches on ice, a pump, etc to make this work would be better spent on an immersion chiller......

goldfish? they'd stay alive long enough... maybe eat any bugs that fall into the water...
