I'm currently making a berry beer and the instructions indicate to add the raspberry flavor @ bottling but are not very specific as to how/when

What might be the best method?

I'm assuming that I may want to add it right about the same time as the priming sugar when there is an 1" or so of wert in my bottling bucket so that it mixeswell without stirring and addingin air.

Does this seem about right?

You have the right idea. I would suggest starting with about half the berry flavoring, when the beer is mixed with the priming solution and berry flavor taste it and decide whether you want to add more. Make sure to add flavor slowly because you don't want to add too much, once it's in there you can't get it out.
