After many years of talking crap about how me and a mate
should start brewing, we took the plunge yesterday and
tried our first brew.

We bought a kit from the Local Brew Shop.
And brewed our first kit yesterday (Australian Lager)
Just to see what it was like.
Well this morning i went and had a look
air lock is bubbling away and it has a thing head on top
(cross our fingers we did that part correct?)

i guess time will tell if its ok or not???

Congrats bro!!!
Let's hope this is the first of many many batches!!!

:mug:

It is a Lager, where are you fermenting it? You have a fridge with a temp controller?

Welcome to the world of brewing! Damn it is a nice place :)

Which Australian Lager is it? ...or is it a generic lager?

I've never brewed a lager, but 22 celsius seems a bit high. If you can get the temperature lower, that would be good, because from what I've read on here, they ferment properly at around 55 fahrenheit, so roughly 12 or 13 celsius.

Um, just because the kit says "lager", doesn't mean is really is a lager. My first-ever beer years ago was called Geordi Lager but the kit did indeed have generic ale yeast in it. What type of yeast was included with your kit???
