My LHBS sells Brewcraft brand oak chips in toasted and untoasted varieties. I bought a 1lb bag a while ago and just realized that I don't know whether they are American or French oak and I can't find any information as to what type of oak they are. Does anyone know which type of oak Brewcraft uses?

Thanks,
Chris

I logged in to their site and tried to figure it out, but they aren't clear. If I had to, I'd guess French, just because those are in wide use for both beer and wine. But they really should be telling you.
