I got the 50 foot roll of copper at HD and fount the sweat fittings at a refrigeration/HVAC place in town to mate the soft copper with the copper pipe.

I just pex crimped on an extra washer hose I cut in half. Should do the job!

I made it to fit the pot without going over the liquid level so it came out to around 41 feet of 1/2" chiller which should be plenty for 5 gallons I think.

ewww... yellow snot. LOL.

Test it out before the weekend for any leaks. Leaking water into wort = :(

Ok you freaked me out! lol I just tested... No leaks!

The water from the faucet is 3 degrees C right now... or 37.4F

I brewed two batches yesterday... A Caribou slobber and a Dead Ringer (my god that smells good).

The chiller cooled the wort from boiling to 65 degrees F in 10 mins exactly. It worked great... summer times may vary as ground water right now is 3 degrees... lol
