Ok so I have come across a Keg that I want to turn in to a kettle, and all I have seen is converting it by welding it. Well I am no welder and wanted to know if you guys could help me out, giving me some pros and cons to going weldless and what I need as far as hardware to do it. Anyhelp you can give would be much appreciated thank you.

Pro wieldless: cheaper

Con wieldless : rubber washer will fail at some point in time
I wouldn't use it as a turkey fryer or anything where the heat is over 212*F

Pro wielded : should last forever
doesn't have any problems with hi temp

Con wielded: cost more if you can't do it yourself;

Ask the guy in the wielding shop if he'll trade for some homebrew.
